When I highlight players, I try focus on guys that will likely be available, and I also try not to duplicate what I have said in previous weeks.  Sometimes, though, I have to go back to the same guys.  I talked about Peyton Hillis a few weeks ago, and his price just went up.  I do think the coaching staff there likes him more than Harrison, and based on what I’ve seen so far, I can’t say I disagree.  I think he’s obviously still worth a pickup if no one grabbed him after week 1.

At receiver, Lance Moore is going to be the hot commodity.  With Bush out injured, it appears that Moore, a forgotten man in 2009 after being a surprise in 2009, will get some of those targets.  Obviously, players in the Saints passing game can be valuable, so if you are in position, he can get you through the byes.  The Colts are about the only team where a player can go from practice squad to fantasy relevance in a week. Blair White stepped in as the third receiver with Garcon and Gonzalez out, and got a touchdown.  So long as he’s the third wide receiver, with Peyton throwing passes, he is worth a roster spot. Danny Amendola is worth a look in a ppr league this week.  Laurent Robinson was out injured, and Amendola has been targeted frequently by Bradford.  The matchup against Detroit makes it appealing. Patrick Crayton was traded to San Diego right before the season and has worked in slowly, but saw in increase in snaps and targets in week 3, and it looks like he’s moved past Buster Davis.   Having a receiver on San Diego isn’t a bad thing, and Naanee and Floyd are not so dominating that they will prevent Crayton from seeing some action as he gets more familiar with Rivers.

We don’t have full injury information yet on some running back injury situations.  I’m not sure there’s a good option in Detroit as I think that is all Best and not a good situation (Kevin Smith appears to be next in line), but there is a good possibility that Jahvid Best sits out the next game. I’d probably pass on a Detroit back against Green Bay. Kenneth Darby may get the same opportunity, as Steven Jackson looks like he will be on the injury report and a likely game time decision with a groin strain.  He’s startable against Seattle at home if Jackson is ruled out.

Ryan Torain got some carries in place of Portis in the last game, and with the release of Larry Johnson, is just a coach’s decision or injury away from stepping in.  BenJarvus Green-Ellis was the choice du jour in New England.  Ordinarily, this would be a stay away for me because guessing how Belichek will use his backs is impossible, but the running backs are banged up and Green-Ellis may get carries by default again this week.  I’ve highlighted them before, but take a chance on Javon Ringer or Bernard Scott if you want to take a stab for the future, as the backs they backup have had alot of carries recently, and if these guys got an opportunity due to injuries, they would be good starts.   Laurence Maroney got the carries with Knowshown Moreno out, and it looks like he is ahead of Correll Buckhalter.

At Tight End, I’ve already highlighted Tony Moeaki and Ben Watson, but if available, they are still worth a look.  Moeaki is on a bye this week, though, so he won’t be available right away.  If you have a tight end on a bye and need a start, Daniel Fells of Saint Louis may be worth a look against Green Bay.  He’s not going to catch a lot but could be a red zone target.  If you are really, really, really trying to go off the radar, New Orleans has had major difficulty in covering tight end routes, as Shiancoe, Davis, and Gonzalez have all torched them.  Of course, Carolina has no one anywhere near that caliber, but Dante Rosario would be the desperation start based on matchup there.  New England is another team that has struggled covering the tight end this year, and so this might be a game that Anthony Fasano becomes playable in deep leagues.
