Rolando McClain’s Suplex, and Vontae Davis’s Incredibly Dumb Celebration Injury
Here’s Rolando McClain, the Raiders’ rookie linebacker, performing a suplex late in Oakland’s 16-14 win over St. Louis. After the jump, Miami’s Vontae Davis celebrates a tackle … by pulling a hamstring.

way to show some balls, Gary Kubiak!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:19 PM
Kubiak is who we thought he was
September 19th, 2010 at 7:20 PM
Kubiak’s an idiot.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:21 PM
dumb penalty by the Texans!
Hey, the Jets won! Super Bowl is next week, right?
September 19th, 2010 at 7:21 PM
That suplex was Chris Benoit-like.
Also, he didn’t hurt himself on the celebration. Davis stuck Shiancoe with his left shoulder and that’s what he was holding. The celebration was just adrenaline. Once he calmed down for a few seconds, the pain hit him. Anyone here who’s played sports knows how this works.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:21 PM
ha fuck you Kubiak and fuck the Texans.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:21 PM
I can’t believe that pussy wouldn’t try the field goal or go for it, that was fucking disgusting. Fuck this guy, I defended him long enough.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:21 PM
Favre sucks. Thanks for coming back Brett!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:22 PM
the dumb move was the late hit on McNabb. after a sack, no less
/took Wash +3
September 19th, 2010 at 7:22 PM
I hope Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson give Kubiak the Dudley Death Drop after they lose for not taking the FG attempt.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:23 PM
Hopefully they lose to the Lions next week, that would be splendid. He might just quit after that game.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:23 PM
way to fuck that pass to moss up, McNabb….fuck!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:24 PM
Shannahan isn’t a fucking moron.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:24 PM
make this kick.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:24 PM
no shot here from 52. ugh. then Texans just need like 30 yards to make a FG
September 19th, 2010 at 7:24 PM
Here we go with this stupid time out bullshit. So annoying.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:24 PM
Ha! Houston took the TO!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:24 PM
Reminds me of Detroit not taking the ball after winning the toss
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
Kubiak with a big FU there. These announcers suuuuuuck, Dan Fouts is horrid.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
Kid just blew his load on that one. Doesn’t make this next one.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
Hopefully they lose to the Lions next week, that would be splendid. He might just quit after that game.
I will personally shake the hands of every goddamn Lion if they pull that shit off.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
that hurt
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
No good! Always happens!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
Wow.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
That was the dumbest thing ever. Thanks Marty Morningwig, asshole.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
And it works! No good!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
DAGGER
son of a biscuit
September 19th, 2010 at 7:25 PM
Why should there be a rule against that? There’s no good reason, shut the fuck up.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:26 PM
Great game by sanchise today. no jokes for him, unfortunately.
AND HE MISSED IT! Texans ball!!!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:26 PM
Punt on first down and hope for a pick six or a fumble recovery in the end zone
/kubiak’s first impulse
September 19th, 2010 at 7:26 PM
he got popped – Leinart time is he gets hit like that again.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:27 PM
Looks more like a suplex than a body slam really.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:29 PM
offsides – 3rd and 3 vs. 4th and 1 –
I’d take the 3rd and three so Kubiak will want 4th and 1
September 19th, 2010 at 7:30 PM
UCLA killed both of Houston’s QBs last game. damn.
Dan Fouts is an idiot.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:30 PM
That mouth piece with the jets logo looks retarded though. The Patriots should of concentrated more instead of wishing the game would end sooner so that they could go see the new Amanda Bynes movie.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:30 PM
Take the fourth, go for it.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:31 PM
what a brutal loss this will be for Washington. i have to check if i got 3 or 3.5
September 19th, 2010 at 7:31 PM
Not as retarded as Braylon’s maze and gold mouth piece. Gross.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:31 PM
really? you can’ be serious.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:31 PM
these announcers serious? I’m about 99% sure that ball bounced hard off the ground?
September 19th, 2010 at 7:32 PM
didn’t complete the process. no catch
/No idea what the rule is anymore
September 19th, 2010 at 7:32 PM
the ball never touched the ground. WTF are they looking at?
September 19th, 2010 at 7:33 PM
tough to tell if he caught that, but you know what i hope happens
/got Wash +3 …
September 19th, 2010 at 7:33 PM
Dude’s arm is underneathe the ball you fucking idiot announcers.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:33 PM
thank you!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:33 PM
So, the knee-jerk reaction to Sanchez tomorrow is that he’s a badass. Completely opposite of last Tuesday’s reaction.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:33 PM
BALLGAME!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:34 PM
Not really. If you don’t have faith in your offense to get three yards on two downs, well you’re probably Bruce Arians.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:34 PM
Anyone know what TBL picked for the Houston-Wash game?
September 19th, 2010 at 7:34 PM
who the fuck is Joel Dreson?
Big choke by the ‘Skins, Frauds!

September 19th, 2010 at 7:34 PM
Working a heart failure situation here
/Kubiak is Satan
September 19th, 2010 at 7:34 PM
ballgame? ANOTHER REPLAY???
Now they’re just wasting time.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:35 PM
can’t see why they are reveiwing this one, seems pretty obvs.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:36 PM
With a major flip flop like that you would think that Mariotti still has a job.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:37 PM
Shanny’s looking mighty old in HD. and shiny.
THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD, FOSTER!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:37 PM
I hope Shannan does returns the timeout favor. Neil Rakers is pretty good, can’t imagine him fucking up a short kick.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:38 PM
this announcer is a moron.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:38 PM
But very tan
SHIT!!!!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:38 PM
big win for Houston, bandwagon is getting full down here.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:38 PM
fuck. chokers! frauds!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:39 PM
Does Rackers actually want it there or is Kubiak incompetent? I’m guessing the latter.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:39 PM
HOUSTON ON A BITCH!!
17 down at nearly the end of the third qtr. what a game.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:39 PM
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
September 19th, 2010 at 7:39 PM
It bears repeating: SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!
September 19th, 2010 at 7:39 PM
holy shit schaub had 497 yards passing today, jesus.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:40 PM
Being a TBL commenter means never having to admit you’re wrong.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:40 PM
That’s like saying the sky is blue. Please be more specific.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:42 PM
He had a hell of a game. So did Mcnabb. But thank god Arian Foster didn’t.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:42 PM
Been my second favorite team since I moved to Texas. Well, two years after I moved here.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:42 PM
great…Houston didn’t cover that 3.5
September 19th, 2010 at 7:43 PM
September 19th, 2010 at 7:44 PM
holy shit schaub had 497 yards passing today, jesus.
When did Schaub play in Atlanta? Was that connected to Vick’s dog fighting or his leg injury?
September 19th, 2010 at 7:44 PM
Who gets fired first? Wade Phillips or Brad Childress?
September 19th, 2010 at 7:46 PM
Bob Stoops, that loss to MSU is going to be fatal.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:46 PM
They both make it the season. Favre is not Childress’ fault.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:47 PM
Wade. not even close.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:47 PM
My roommate keeps saying “Manning Bowl.” I’ve finally found the person ESPN was targeting with that “Who’s Now?” crap. Kill me.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:48 PM
The Texans tried to lose that game, but Washington just wouldn’t let them.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:50 PM
Tom Cable has a permanent dip in.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:51 PM
Did I miss the inevitable Oreo Lick Race commercial?
/please say yes…
September 19th, 2010 at 7:52 PM
I am a sad panda
September 19th, 2010 at 7:52 PM
over/under 30 commercials with a “Manning” in it?
September 19th, 2010 at 7:53 PM
tough one CJ. Of all the weeks I have to be cheering for the Pats. I blame myself personally.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:54 PM
Less than a half hour for faith hill and her tight short skirt.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:56 PM
Boomer, stop calling QBs that throw picks ‘the little girl with the curls.’ Unless it’s Brady.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:57 PM
So power rankings are going to be fun this week.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:58 PM
I’m probably gonna skip tonight’s thread, have a feeling the irrational hatred may be off the charts.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:58 PM
Jack Del Rio.
September 19th, 2010 at 7:58 PM
Somehow hearing Dan Patrick do the game highlights makes it so much worse
September 19th, 2010 at 8:02 PM
The Skins are still a hell of a lot better than I thought they’d be, v4l. (and a hell of a lot better than the Vikes)
September 19th, 2010 at 8:03 PM
did you know eli and peyton manning are brothers? and their parents like, and maybe even love, them both? crazy huh?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:03 PM
I’m probably gonna skip tonight’s thread, have a feeling the irrational hatred may be off the charts.
Not from me. I need the Colts to do well. I have Addai, Garcon, and Manning.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:03 PM
Time to watch Hoarding: Buried Alive to feel better about myself
September 19th, 2010 at 8:04 PM
Didn’t Childress resign a new deal prior to this or the last season? He probably has more years left the Philips, so that will help save his job as well.
Browns could start 0-9. Mangini get another year if they go 3 -13?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:05 PM
rodney starts with whoever he wants dan patrick!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:06 PM
Patrick was intimidated by that.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:06 PM
Chasing with the Colts tonight at -4. I’m fucked.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:06 PM
I know, it’s overdone, but I love the family stuff. The home movies are priceless.
This is true. I’m still very excited about seeing them v. Colts in 4 weeks. There seems to be more energy and urgency. Zorn was in way over his head.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:07 PM
This made me laugh
September 19th, 2010 at 8:08 PM
5 minutes of Maury usually does it for me.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:08 PM
That’s some very disturbing stuff CJ. I can’t imagine living that way.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:09 PM
The recession is over, LDT? WTF does that mean?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:09 PM
Just think, the whole house could be your toilet. It would be great!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:11 PM
I am going to get some investors together and buy an NFL team. TBL commenters will run the team (coach and GM). We will go 19-0 every season, never have a bad draft, bad trade, or bad personnel decision. Our coach will never make a questionable play call, replay challenge, or timeout. Our radio announcers will be insightful and never resort to the use of cliche or say something “moronic.”. With the infallible TBL crew in charge, we can’t fail. Who’s in?
PS – We will cure cancer, bed the hottest celebs, fix the economy, and stop world hunger. And that’s just week one.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:12 PM
If you hate everyone so much, why are you here?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:12 PM
DAN PATRICK YOU CANT SQUEEZE A HALF INCH PAST RODNEY! DONT EVEN TRY IT!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:14 PM
Well yeah, there is that.
/It’s squalor fresh!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:16 PM
GrapeApe has to be a espn personality
September 19th, 2010 at 8:17 PM
Shut your mouth Rodney!!!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:18 PM
Dan Patrick looks like he needs to relieve himself of today’s jalapeno sandwich. Like he just popped out a turtle head or something.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:19 PM
So, so this
September 19th, 2010 at 8:20 PM
Probably Dana Jacobson in a purple jumpsuit.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:21 PM
Sage Steele…
September 19th, 2010 at 8:21 PM
Why hasn’t this game started yet?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:22 PM
Actually, I find the commenting humorous most of the time. Just a little too holier than thou at times. Some people can dish it out but can’t take it.

Cris wants “big boys pants” football out there!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:27 PM
For a bunch of dry wits, you guys are pretty sensitive. Guess it’s easy to snark behind a computer screen. As soon as someone calls bullshit, you close ranks and get all defensive.
I have nothing at all to do with ESPN or the MSM. I just hate hypocrites who can dish it out but can’t take it.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:27 PM
I’m afraid of participating in a Manning bros drinking game in fear of dying from alcohol poisoning.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:28 PM
says guy dishing it out and not taking it
September 19th, 2010 at 8:29 PM
my wit is wet! boom. now what?

Actually, I find the commenting humorous most of the time. Just a little too holier than thou at times. Some people can dish it out but can’t take it.
name names, dude. Give us specifics. Nobody’s busy, we can listen. I’m sure you’ll name me (and you should, if you’re a Jets fan, I’ve been dogging them all week, I thought they’d get crushed).
September 19th, 2010 at 8:30 PM
Eli Manning went to the Dr. Lou Holtz school of public speaking.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:30 PM

no broad brush, dude, names. You won’t get in trouble (unless you say Irish Mafia).
September 19th, 2010 at 8:32 PM
nice, toboggan. I’m gonna try to stay sober enough to count past 10.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:34 PM
Wow, guess I touched a nerve. Read the comments. Players are idiots, coaches are idiots, announcers are idiots, other commenters are idiots, GMs are idiots, refs are idiots.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:35 PM
I did’t shee him shpit out hish denturesh.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:37 PM
You’re lucky the jets won today.

Wow, guess I touched a nerve. Read the comments. Players are idiots, coaches are idiots, announcers are idiots, other commenters are idiots, GMs are idiots, refs are idiots.
you obviously missed comment # 13. It is exceedingly complimentary.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:38 PM
in hindsight kubiak wasnt a idiot but i refuse to say that commentator doing the texans game wasnt saying idiotic things. he was.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:38 PM
I thought people didn’t read the comments?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:38 PM
I love this site, been coming here for three years for my sports fix. The TBL crew does a great job.
Just saying the commenters need a little perspective some times.
Don’t get all paranoid. I’m not going to bother naming names.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:40 PM
Just saying the commenters need a little perspective some times.
dude, provide us with the necessary perspective. That can be your role here. But keep in mind, nobody is writing a doctoral dissertation on watching football, they’re reacting to shit that happens, and posting to a message board instantaneously.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:40 PM
The Colts ran for more than their entire game one total on that opening drive. Good sign.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:40 PM
The TBL crew does a great job.
suck up.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:41 PM
I find grapeape has the exact opposite outlook as most people. Hell I come here for the commenters
September 19th, 2010 at 8:42 PM
clay just provided grapeape with the necessary perspective.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:42 PM
Just saying the commenters need a little perspective some times.
Wait, are we the Sports Reporters now?
We’re fans. Fans are myopic, self-centered, knee-jerk-reaction lovin’ grillmasters! That’s it.
You want perspective? Buy a Bob Ross DVD.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:43 PM
Same.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:43 PM
I find grapeape has the exact opposite outlook as most people. Hell I come here for the commenters
you’re wrong. And you suck. And you’re an idiot. I think this only in this exact moment.
/please, oh please can’t somebody give me some perspective!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:43 PM
Yeah its no fun if you don’t give us the names.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:44 PM
Buy a Bob Ross DVD.
+1 happy little tree
September 19th, 2010 at 8:44 PM
The Colts really need to use two TE’s more. That rookie TE Eldridge is a mean sumbitch.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:45 PM
Come on Giants, you don’t run the ball laterally on the Colts, run their ass over vertically.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:46 PM
I’m here for the writing (like the new guy Jason, hell I like all of them) and the commenters. This place is fun personified.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:46 PM
Meanwhile back on Planet Manning…
Much better performance from the Colts D on that first drive. Guess spending a week watching Adrian Foster highlights puts some fire in you.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:47 PM
Over the past few years, the Colts always have a strong defensive outing the week after being gashed on the ground only to revert to their old ways a few weeks down the line.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:47 PM
glad to see that McDonald’s has brought back the douchebag who needs his coffee advertising campaign.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:50 PM
bad drop by Wayne – don’t see that too often – that looked like 6.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:50 PM
When did Garcon change his number to 87?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:50 PM
Oh please. What, do you think I expect TBL to give me a cookie?
You guys are making my point. Clearly my original post struck a nerve. I thought you guys had such thick skin.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:51 PM
Just remember, the Editor in Chief does not do comment driven posts.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:52 PM
Sorry, I don’t have my TBL commenters bios in front of me.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:53 PM
You’ve not been around here long have you?
September 19th, 2010 at 8:53 PM
God, I spent all day watching RedZone.
And in the first 20 minutes, I’ve seen all the commercials I was glad to have missed!
September 19th, 2010 at 8:55 PM
Manningham didn’t say Michigan as his school – I’m sensing that will be the mandatory Michigan post tomorrow.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:56 PM
Poor Kavell Conner…
September 19th, 2010 at 8:56 PM
Terrible route Nicks.
September 19th, 2010 at 8:59 PM
heh. even the 2008 Lions 0-16 team didn’t give up 40 points in 5 games.
September 19th, 2010 at 9:02 PM
GrapeApe, you should probably stop talking.
September 19th, 2010 at 9:03 PM
It would be nice if he/she/they/it would dare mention the game we’re all watching.
September 19th, 2010 at 9:05 PM
GrapeApe, you should probably stop talking.
I want the grape ape to continue talking. I don’t feel like I’m being defensive, but maybe I am.
At least give us some specific things you want corrected. Is it about Cromartie and/or Sanchez. I’m just assuming you’re a Jets fan that wants a bunch of naysaying assholes to eat a bunch of crow. Right?
September 19th, 2010 at 9:07 PM
Maybe, but just because people were wrong about the Jets this week doesn’t mean they weren’t right about them last week.
September 19th, 2010 at 9:12 PM
Maybe, but just because people were wrong about the Jets this week doesn’t mean they weren’t right about them last week.
I just want to know what set him off. I really don’t mind if some guy wants to force feed me some crow, but you’d think it would be somebody who is here all the time, not some random who is disenchanted with in game commenting.
September 19th, 2010 at 9:15 PM
If anyone should eat crow here it’s me. At least the Raiders won. Woo!
September 19th, 2010 at 9:17 PM
If anyone should eat crow here it’s me. At least the Raiders won. Woo!
I think the only game I got right all day was Miami over Minny, and I didn’t even think it was going to happen, I just wanted it to happen.
September 19th, 2010 at 9:18 PM
Kenny Phillips might be the most valuable guy on the Giants.
September 19th, 2010 at 9:20 PM
really?
September 19th, 2010 at 9:21 PM
Giants in deep trouble. 1st pass is a bomb into triple coverage?? horrible decision by Eli
