I think I’m officially old. The MTV Music Awards damn near game me a seizure, it was an attack on the senses. Ashley Greene was the best-looking girl there by far.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:38 AM
Yawn. A girl who can’t sing at all and a rapper. Blah.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:42 AM

I swear to god that story about the 14 year old is not me.

Do they still have the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award? I remember some artists not wanting to receive it when Jack-o was in the middle of all his molestation accusations.

The teeth-gnashing and general freaking-out this week over the Colts run D will be freaking painful to endure. Kravitz said “don’t panic” but I guarantee he will be in full panic-mode by the time the game rolls around next week. God forbid they get off to another start like in ’08
September 13th, 2010 at 8:46 AM
I saw that future Oregon QB a couple weeks ago. Dude’s tiny but fantastic. People tell me I missed the boat not seeing what he and Malcom Brown put on Friday night.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:46 AM
I McRib’d on the rules last night. Had no idea game could end on offensive penalty. Thought there would be a dead clock play. Sucks for the Cowfags*.

cleet…if it makes you feel any better pryor wasn’t much better than harris.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:47 AM
Great round-up TBL, especially the article on Japan.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:47 AM
But at least Pryor didn’t keep throwing it to the other team.

September 13th, 2010 at 8:49 AM
still…it could’ve been way worse. as bad as harris was, the buckeye kick coverage units were just as bad.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
Dirty secret is the Colts played far worse their first two games. They just played shitty teams. They should be ok. R.I.P. Bob Sanders, I’ll always be grateful and you will be missed.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
I give some props to our D for forcing FGs. Going -4 in turnovers and losing by 12 was surprising. Just want them to win the ACC now, all other goals are gone.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
well…not every int he threw was his fault
September 13th, 2010 at 8:54 AM
Definitely give him a pass on the one that went through Benjamin’s hands. He also missed two wide open TDs. Honestly the worst game I’ve ever seen him play, even last year against UNC when he had 4 picks he was at least hitting guys for TDs.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:54 AM
it was all his fault. he brought bad karma on the team by mocking tressel’s sweatervest.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:55 AM
The Seapigeons looked pretty good… Singletary should be concerned about his team D giving up so much to 56 year old Matt Hasselbeck. Smith is awful though. Whitlock has a new target for Jeff George.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:55 AM
It was a rough game. he didn’t do anything to quiet the detractors. where is cursed to read what an objective fan has to say?

The ACC is a hot mess after this weekend. After all the garbage in Chapel Hill, they should still have a shot a being the best team in the conference.
September 13th, 2010 at 8:58 AM
Oh dont blame Shefty for the wrong-ness. His tweet that said the Herald report was incorrect turned out to be right, an imminent 3 year deal was not correct. He got the right info on the deal and then tweeted it later. Any and all criticism, should be directed towards Ron Borges, as it always should be.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:00 AM
Is that article about ACC football players?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:00 AM
didn’t Mr. CFB say they were the 2nd best conference in the country?
i guess even the best are wrong occasionally.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:00 AM
Hey Cleet, no one looked as bad as BJ Daniels for USF. I can’t believe I thought we might have a chance to beat them.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:01 AM
CJ – your love for Schefter is as great a mystery as Al Michaels’ hair.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:01 AM
It would be silly to allow the offense to commit a penalty in order to get another chance to win, and anyone who would argue against this rule must have a few screws loose.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:02 AM
Nah, it’s always good to affix blame to Big Poppa Smug.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:02 AM
I’m going to take the physical challenge on that one. Did you see Jacory’s cramp dance in the 3rd?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:02 AM
TBL’s Alma Mater put a serious dent in his Boise aspirations. Catch 22.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:04 AM
I think it’s stupid that because Va Tech lost to James Madison, it hurts Boise’s chances to get to the title game.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
Yea, I saw it. Daniels looked like he had never thrown a football before. Like Spence said, not all were his fault. Just win out the rest of the year. Heck you play us T-Day weekend so there is a win.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
god you’re dumb.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
Is his goal really for Boise to get into the title game this year? That would hurt the playoff argument. I think its better for them to go undefeated 4 straight years and still not have a chance to play for the championship.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
So how many Denard Robinson for Heisman articles will we read this year? The kid looks like a total stud, but can he run the ball 25+ times a game in the B10? Color me skeptical, but as long as he stays healthy, Michigan has become a must-watch team each week. Imagine his stats the next couple of weeks against bad teams. Gonna be fun to watch this year. Does Michigan play both Iowa and Wisconsin?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:06 AM
The irony is hilarious.
Its been pointed out many times. Falls on deaf ears I guess.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:06 AM
You need to explain this further. Should we completely ignore strength of schedule?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:07 AM
I’m going to regret this but… may I ask why?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:07 AM
To be honest, I was unable to watch the game, was tracking it on the computer though. I admit my heart was full of glee when they were winning/hanging in there. I’d still be hopefull about the future with Skip Holtz as the coach, I think he will do good things there.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:08 AM
Holy shit…the numbers that HS kid put up were sick! Oregon’s offense is great against bad team, but we all saw what a big boy defense will do to it when they played Ohio State last year. But good god does it light up shitty teams. James’ 72-yard TD run against Tennessee Saturday was gorgeous.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:08 AM
everyone realizes that ND and UConn have two AWFUL defenses right? no way that shit flies against iowa and PSU.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:09 AM
I think it’s stupid that because Va Tech lost to James Madison, it hurts Boise’s chances to get to the title game.
The regular season is a playoff! Shut up!
September 13th, 2010 at 9:09 AM
and how is that? because the “best” team they played and beat by less than a touchdown lost to a lesser division team? shit, might as well crown Boise national champs after that win…
September 13th, 2010 at 9:09 AM
Not sure – PSU’s tackling was downright awful on Sat. night. In particular, our safeties were useless on run support.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:09 AM
Stan Van Gundy and Pat Riley don’t like one another. We like very much that they don’t like each other.
you had to know SVG was going to say something after Riley held his own press conference. he worked with him for 12 years
September 13th, 2010 at 9:10 AM
Really? You don’t get why the best win for Boise being an 8-4 VT team who lost to JMU would hurt them?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:10 AM
yes.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:10 AM
It only needs to fly about 6 more times for RR to keep his job.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:10 AM
Yeah, I know. At least I had enjoyment for one quarter. I am still not impressed with UF.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:10 AM
but can he run the ball 25+ times a game in the B10?
Besides Ohio State, what defense has the speed to stop him?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:10 AM
Iowa plays Michigan in Ann Arbor. Just because ND doesn’t have the personnel to run rampant through that defense filled with midgets doesn’t mean Iowa, Wisconsin, OSU and even Penn State won’t. Ok, maybe OSU jr is a stretch.
/high fives Spence

Adam Schefter: In case you ever wanted to know what it would be like to have Seth Davis cover the NFL.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:11 AM
This is my thinking as well, but he’s passing pretty well also, something I never thought I’d see.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:11 AM
I agree it was bad at times, but it could be Richardson is a freakin beast (as opposed to Royster, who gets tackled by the first contact every time).
I thought we did ok, should have been closer, 3 red zone turnovers. Still, fresh qb, new oline, new linebackers, not bad for road game against #1 team.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:12 AM
It’s not speed necessarily. PSU/Iowa have the strength to shed blocks and close the lanes, something Uconn and ND couldn’t do.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:12 AM
Gods, you should see this kid play. He’s barely six feet tall, but white boy can ball. He’s averaging about 600 yards of offense a week right now.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:13 AM
Hawkeyes kept a team with a mobile QB and better offensive line off the board for 58 minutes this weekend.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:14 AM
Silas Redd needs more carries ASAP.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:14 AM
spence, who exactly on Iowa’s defense will track Denard down? Seriously. ND trots out super LB Teo Manti, and he wasn’t in the picture half the time. Same thing for PSU. If Denard is healthy, UM has a chance in both those games. I hate to get too optimistic as I remember last year well, but Denard actually has some skills.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:14 AM
No way it could have been worse than UGA’s. Lattimore (who is a stud…but he’s not as good as UGA made him look) had something like 20+ broken tackles. He averaged just under 5 ypc, and had UGA maybe tackled in practice leading up to the game, he wouldn’t have looked like Bo Jackson or Hershel. Arkansas is now a must win for my Dawgs, and without AJ, I’m not so confident (though ARK looked rough last week).
September 13th, 2010 at 9:14 AM
Fuck off.
Why should Boise be punished because Va Tech went out and lost a game they should have won? Boise played Va Tech at a neutral site even though it was pretty much a Va Tech home game and Boise won. Now that Va Tech lost to James Madison, it makes Boise’s win not impressive. Say Penn St. lose one of their next two games, either Akron or Temple, does that mean that win for Alabama isn’t a big deal?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:14 AM
im sorry, but 28 points against ND’s shit-tastic defense doesn’t really impress me, 500+ yards or not.
/of course denard’s great after waxing a shitty ND team, but pryor is awful after 346 total yards, 2 TD’s and no TO’s against the 12th ranked team in the country…and ND doesn’t have a player anywhere near as good as allen bailey, brandon harris or sean spence
//but keep licking his popsicle…video game numbers are fun!
September 13th, 2010 at 9:15 AM
I hope Whitlock enjoyed Ball State’s loss to FCS Liberty. Gardner-Webb also beat Akron.

Why don’t you give an explanation, dumbass. Nice one line.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:16 AM
I guess luck shines that the Gophers are not playing Michigan this year. I shudder to think what he’d do against that defense.
Oh wait, I’ll get to see it when USC comes to town this weekend. Joy.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:16 AM
Yeah, I was asked when I got to work, “Did you watch the VMAs?” “The what?”

You must not have watched the USC-UVA game. Awful. USC had 140 yards in penalties I think. They looked like shoveled shit. Just terrible.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:18 AM
Wisconsin also heads to Ann Arbor. Based on the defense they put together against the two creampuffs, Tolzien and company will need to hold the ball the entire game. Hopefully Borland’s shoulder heals well enough to not be an issue come conference play.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:18 AM
an explanation of why you’re dumb? i don’t have time to find all the links…but in this case, you’re dumb because beating a team like VT that couldnt’ even beat james madison isn’t impressive. boise’s entire season rode on VT because they play no one else. it’s not that hard to put together…
September 13th, 2010 at 9:19 AM
media creation.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:20 AM
Only time will tell, but I’ll take my chances with #16 toting and passing the rock against those defenses built to stop each other (Iowa, Wisky, etc.) and not a speed team.
God, I sound like a damn SEC slappy.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:20 AM
ISU’s oline is better than Michigan’s…
The rest of their team? Yeah, hot garbage.

September 13th, 2010 at 9:21 AM
Nebraska plays a team with a pulse this week for the first time. Hopefully they can travel out to U-Dub and get a win, but that offense still scares me. 1/5 in the redzone coming away with TDs. That shit won’t fly against KSU, Mizzou, Texas or A&M.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:21 AM

How about South Cackalacky? I know UGA didn’t have its best player but the Gamecocks look like legit SEC East condensers. Especially after that first half UF put up.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:22 AM
It really was, UVA outplayed them in every way but just couldnt score. USC is looking like a 7 win team, 5 in a real conference.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:23 AM
I don’t think it is.
Also, I want to be the first today to say how pumped I was to see Vick playing yesterday. He has faults as a QB (and as a person) but damn he’s fun to watch.

September 13th, 2010 at 9:25 AM
Congrats, Fetch. Hell of a turnaround for Gill. I was loving it as a fan of Gill and a fan of watching Tech suck ass (though UGA matched them, that’s for sure).
Garcia is so average. Bama and Florida beat SC in my opinion. Auburn and Arkansas are tossups. GA could have won that game and they are a shell of what they could be without AJ. I still think SC loses 3 SEC games.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:26 AM
Correct, I did not. I do know that the Gophers lost to a 1-AA team (three whole years removed from D-II status), lose AT HOME 41-38. It is going to be all-world ugly at TCF on Saturday afternoon.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:27 AM

September 13th, 2010 at 9:27 AM
Reason No. 3,546,465 why being conservative sucks balls. Richt and Bobo were scared to let Murray loose, and by the time they did, they had to score on every possession. The kid can play…let him! This week is a must-win, and with Ark’s defense still what it is, I would think Murray will throw it 25+ times.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:28 AM

September 13th, 2010 at 9:30 AM
You’ve got six more days to enjoy the Colts loss – you know Peyton’s gonna respond by rattling off 10 straight wins
57 pass attempts, and a defense that doesn’t get off the field. That sounds like a recipe for a long, long season.
Not as long as Dallas’s, but pretty long.
For you yahoos who weren’t here this weekend, Jason Lisk was on the ball with his posts.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:30 AM
ha. Good god. What a guy.

I was surprised, I thought for sure he’d bust out the f-word on them first thing. Maybe he’s saving it for later. I do like how Jim Caldwell has dropped all the pretense and just said we’re going to try and have Manning win every game by himself.

right now the Defense isn’t looking all that bad, but considering the teams they have played so far they should look good. the offense is way over-confident already, that could end up being the problem. ball handling is a real problem with this team and it’s going to end up killing them at some point.
Georgia losing AJ looks similar to the Vikings losing Rice. it’s tough on a team to lose the guy that the offense revolves around.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:34 AM
/kolb sucks
but Leonard Weaver’s got excellent range of motion in that one knee.
/that was gross.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
No playoffs this year = no job next year
Watching it happen in throw kelly green throwbacks made it that much more enjoyable.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
is it racist to say that Mike Singletary , who I love as a leader of men and is old school like me, might not be that good of a coach? They have underachieved
I wouldn’t go that far just yet. If we finish the season with less than 10 wins maybe. Didn’t get anything from the ground game and Smith and Crabtree don’t seem to be on the same page.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
And, spencer, sounds a little jealous because Shoelace > Everybody Kills.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
He was a big and fast from Hawaii. but it is not like they are a hot bed of high school football. he would have just been another 3, maybe 4 star recruit playing in the lower 48.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
Sucks for BSanders, BSanders. I honestly was rooting for him to make it this year. I even let out a “you gotta be kiddnig me” when they first mentioned his injury. Hard luck dude, but at least he got his rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:36 AM
I see Overreaction Monday is underway, in full force
September 13th, 2010 at 9:36 AM
sanders- both teams can’t run. should be interesting game next sunday.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:36 AM
I was surprised, I thought for sure he’d bust out the f-word on them first thing. Maybe he’s saving it for later. I do like how Jim Caldwell has dropped all the pretense and just said we’re going to try and have Manning win every game by himself.
I’ve been too busy reading message boards, looking for plausible Mankins trade scenarios, and envisioning Tony Ugoh reviving his career as a right tackle to check up on the Colts.
I am envious of every other team in the NFL, because their OC is not Jason Garrett.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:36 AM
im basing my “kolb sucks” theory on my hatred for the eagles front office. if they think he’s good, i hate him.
so whenever i say “kolb sucks” im really just saying “fuck joe banner.”
September 13th, 2010 at 9:36 AM
Yeah, wtf happened with Sea/SF? Was it more Smith blowing, or Seahawk competence? I don’t like the sound of Seahawk competence, since that is basically the only one of Denver’s first few games I saw them winning.

” I feel like if I had been out there for four quarters, maybe we would have had a chance to win the game.”
Loved the caveat as he was getting up from the interview “but I’m sad we lost”. Total throw away line.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:38 AM
We only like people to be honest when we already agree with what’s going to come out of their mouths. Green Bay would have lost that game had Vick started.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:38 AM
SJ State +38! WOO!
September 13th, 2010 at 9:38 AM
I hate the ACC.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:39 AM
Agreed. Lean towards the 3.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:39 AM
SF had a chance to put SEA in a huge hole early, but failed on two 4th and 1 conversions deep in SEA territory and settled for FGs on other promising drives. After that, they went into a tailspin.
In short, Singletary challenged his team to convert, and they failed miserably.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:39 AM
we hate you guys too.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:39 AM
Green Bay would have lost that game had Vick started.
do you mean if he started as a surprise, as in the Pack wouldn’t have had a chance to prepare for him, or if they knew a week in advance that he was going to be the starter?
Because I don’t believe either of those.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:39 AM
It just looked like they were confusing the Bengals. On that first Welker TD, they had him and 2 tight ends lined up all bunched together wide left, and only 2 Bengals covering the 3 of them? That was too easy.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:40 AM
As a Colts fan, it sucks. As a Colts fan who loves Bob Sanders, it sucks even moreso.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:40 AM
Go Dolphins!
In this hypothetical are we then assuming that the Packers would have gameplanned for Vick instead of Kolb? Vick’s just good enough to look exciting while losing
September 13th, 2010 at 9:40 AM
One of the few gambling highlights of my weekend was Chan Gailey giving me the cover in the MIA/BUF game.

I missed mention of his injury earlier. He done for the year?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:41 AM
I thought the same thing this morning. Jerry Jones loves him some ex-Razorbacks.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:41 AM
a robust thank you to the pats for making the browns loss bearable because i was watching at a bar with a bengals fan who was even more distraught than i was.
the browns sucking is nothing new, but wallowing in enjoyment of another man’s sadness was fantastic.

vick’s got a laser arm. bears are bad. so are cowboys. bears-cowboys next week. cowboys are less bad. wlll win by 17

No confirmation yet, but the scuttlebutt is that he retore the biceps he tore last season. I’m not one to cast PED aspersions on players, but dammit if he doesn’t fit the profile almost exactly.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:42 AM
Similar story for Jamaal Jackson. Dude tore up his knee last December. Worked his tail off to somehow make it back for the season opener only to tear his bicep in the first half, out for the season.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:42 AM
Like I said last night, every comment here should have some kind of automatic WordPress edit that adds “even though it’s only Week 1″ to the end of every comment.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:42 AM
Yeah, I agree with Clay and Butters. The Pack’s gameplan was geared for Kolb with some Vick sprinkled in for that Wildcat crap. Not Vick all game.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:42 AM
Yeah, Spencer… WTF? I lay down some scratch on the Brownies and Delhomme returns to his traditional form in the 3rd and 4th quarters throwing picks. They choked away that 2nd half.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:42 AM
vick’s got a laser arm. .
a poorly calibrated laser with a broken guidance system that things the ground is where the football should be targeted.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:43 AM
yea…heckert was just a company man. he didn’t have all that much final say in the eagles org from what i gathered.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:43 AM
No confirmation yet, but the scuttlebutt is that he retore the biceps he tore last season
Damn. As a Jags fan I am torn, glad he won’t be in the secondary but it’s too bad that a talent like that can’t stay healthy.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:43 AM
Also, can we talk about the 2 separate issues the league is mad at the Jets about? *Giggles*
September 13th, 2010 at 9:44 AM
You know who else has a laser arm? Tarvaris Jackson. A lot of good that does him too.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:44 AM
Similar story for Jamaal Jackson. Dude tore up his knee last December. Worked his tail off to somehow make it back for the season opener only to tear his bicep in the first half, out for the season.
I feel awful for that guy. Awful. Now go and fetch your Max Jean-Gilles.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:44 AM
no idea…they were dominating the first half and then just fizzled out.
and tim crowder beat joe thomas like a drum for a sack. it was humbling. must have been the humidity or something because the wheels all fell off all at once.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:44 AM
I am still emotionally broken from this weekend. I have to convince myself that ND will never have a good defense.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:44 AM
Agree with ALL of this. Jason Garrett might overthink everything but he didn’t fucking go for it on 4th down on the 1 yardline with a chance to take the lead in 4th quarter.
I’d like to apologize to all the Lions fans because you guys got screwed and I got robbed of Lovie being buried alive while on fire after the game yesterday. What a horrible coaching decision and an even worse call on the Megatron play.

Perfect GM candidate for the Browns
September 13th, 2010 at 9:45 AM
Reid and Banner made all final decisions, but Heckert played a large role with draft day. It was Heckert who assured Reid that DeSean Jackson would be available with their 2nd round pick.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:45 AM
I suggest you stay away from your television tonight then to avoid going into full blown depression.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:45 AM
speaking of laser arms…did anyone watch the cards/rams? derek anderson was hilariously bad…throwing bullets on screen passes and hitting WR’s in the feet.
lol @ leinart not beating out that jackass.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:45 AM
I’m not one to cast PED aspersions on players, but dammit if he doesn’t fit the profile almost exactly
NFL player?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:45 AM
I know. Luckily his backup is pretty good. That corner they got from the Redskins for a Hershey bar is also solid. Probably not a great idea to have him as your guy trying to down punts inside the five-yard line when he’s only been with the team about five days. Probably not a great idea to be punting inside your opponent’s 45-yard line five times, either, Caldwell.
Not saying I know better. Just saying. Dickweed.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:46 AM
Looks like Mike McGlynn is the starting center, which means Nick Cole stays at right guard, with means I am
September 13th, 2010 at 9:46 AM
That was mind-boggling dumb even for the Bear’s coaching staff…Detroit’s offense wasn’t gaining anything all half, take the lead

September 13th, 2010 at 9:47 AM
How’s the hangover?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:47 AM
Excellent comparison. Both teams look like neutered dogs out there. UGA has 4 solid No. 2 receivers, but no one who can stretch the field and command a double team. The fact that they were even in the game against SC is somewhat promising, but if AJ doesn’t win his appeal (which he should, but I’m prepared for him to lose it) UGA could be fucked. Now, some people may use this to put Richt on the hotseat, but I think we all know that would be ignorant and retarded.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:47 AM
As a surprise. Vick came in and the adjustments didn’t work, save for the crucial 4th down play. I’m sure this was already covered though.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
t-bone…comment 176. he’s a really good fit. he’s got a great eye for talent and knows the draft.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
A cripple fight true and true but nonetheless but a win is still a win..and you guys got to give Mike Williams some serious credit for that catch in the endzone, that was just a great effort.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
did anyone watch the cards/rams?
ew. I saw where Bradford threw it 50 something times, and they showed the last minute of the game on my TV.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
Its unfathomable that hes a starting NFL QB. Just dreadful.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
I wonder who will have the best fan boy phone calls this morning on sports radio: Iggles, Bears, Cowboys or Niners?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:49 AM
Yeah, ND hasn’t had a good defense in a long, long time. I can’t remember when the last time was, to be honest. You’ve got a hell of a TE though, so that’s something to be happy about.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:49 AM
Who do the Iggles play this week? I hope they have to rule Kolb out. Not only will the other team be ready for Vick, Vick will have a week to realize there’s an entire playbook, with scripted plays.

That Rams game featured about the most egregious non-Chilly clock management I have ever seen. Why wait to use your timeouts until the last 10 seconds?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:50 AM
@Detroit. I’ll be there. It’s going to be interesting no matter what I suppose.

And an equally terrible throw. Behind him by 3 feet.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
that’s all they said about him when he was at Arkansas. another reason why I can’t stand the guy being on the Vikings.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
I know, I liked the selection at the time. I’m just hating on everything Browns after yesterday. Need a day or two to sulk. Going to the KC game on Sunday but not feeling good about it right now.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
I will not make a difference. All he has to do is break one play for a nice gain and everyone will start going off again about how he is “the most exciting player in all of sports”.
September 13th, 2010 at 9:53 AM
Our last three tight ends: Fasano, Carlson, Rudolph.
Our last great linebacker: N/A

has the NCAA ever been known to reduce suspensions? I honestly think him playing or not is the difference in the game next weekend. well, that and Arkansas not being able to run the ball at all. If you can’t open holes on the line against a 1AA team and a sun-belt team, chances aren’t good against SEC teams.

September 13th, 2010 at 9:59 AM
Other than teaching, does anyone know of any careers that you can ear your degree while at the same time actually getting a job in the same field? Like how you can be a teacher while going to school and getting your teaching degree?
September 13th, 2010 at 9:59 AM
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cool picture. I just saw that mentioned on the Michigan blog where I originally saw the picture yesterday.
September 13th, 2010 at 10:01 AM
Have to say I was reasonably impressed with Orton yesterday. He made some nice throws, typically made good decisions with the ball (last interception notwithstanding).
September 13th, 2010 at 10:01 AM
Did it mention that it was his only tackle of the game?
September 13th, 2010 at 10:02 AM
Chef.
September 13th, 2010 at 10:03 AM
I didn’t think BSanders wrote for TBL anymore.
September 13th, 2010 at 10:06 AM
Orton looked good, young o-line has some protection issues, and if they let every team start drives at the 50 they aren’t going to win much. Overall, though, they had every chance to win that flipping game. Goddamn Ryan McBean giving half the field on penalties…

It’s cool, Lefty. I was just scouring AnnArbor.com this morning and saw it.

September 13th, 2010 at 10:07 AM
No arrogance here. Or delusions or grandeur. Not just because of last year’s good start, but because it’s a long season and there are plenty of good opponents.
September 13th, 2010 at 10:08 AM
Yes. They did it with Masoli and they’ve done it with stuff like this, too. Seeing as how Dareus was given 2 games for his $1,800 trip with agents, I don’t see how AJ got what he got, but he did, so he is fighting an uphill battle. If you read this article, I don’t see how the NCAA could justify 4 games. It’s ridiculous.
September 13th, 2010 at 10:11 AM

If the o-line could have held up a little better they had a chance to win. The Jags d-line is much improved but their secondary (outside of maybe Mathis) was awful, Cox was victimized a lot.
September 13th, 2010 at 11:19 AM
Hey. That wasn’t me. But I do agree. The ACC sucks worse than all which has sucked before.
