Why Would Ole Miss Pay Boise State $900k for a Game, but Nebraska Won’t Cough Up $1 Million?
Had a nice discussion on twitter yesterday with Tom Shatel, a columnist at the Omaha World-Herald. He wrote this piece about how Nebraska tried to schedule Boise State, but it didn’t work out. Obviously, he put the Nebraska spin on things: “… according to NU Assistant Athletic Director Jeff Jamrog, Boise wanted a minimum $1 million to play in Lincoln. Geez, no wonder the Broncos can’t get anyone to play them. Pay Boise State $1 million to come to your town? Sorry, don’t want it that bad.” Shatel, of course, left out that $1 million is increasingly becoming the ‘going rate’ for these early-season non-conference games against the WAC (or lesser conferences).
Boise State reportedly received $1.25 million (it is a little unclear who paid that) to play Virginia Tech at a “neutral” site Monday.
[UPDATE: According to the Statesman, the Redskins paid Boise and Virginia Tech for the game.]
Texas reportedly paid UTEP (of Conference USA) $1 million for a non-conference game this season.
Alabama reportedly paid San Jose State $1 million for a non-conference game this season.
Auburn reportedly paid Arkansas State $1 million for a non-conference game this season.
Nebraska reportedly paid Idaho $800,000 for a non-conference game this season.
Texas A&M will reportedly pay Idaho $850,000 for a non-conference game next season.
LSU will reportedly pay Idaho $950,000 for a non-conference game in 2012.
Ole Miss will reportedly pay Boise State $900,000 for a non-conference game next season.
Ohio State will reportedly pay Colorado $1.4 million for a non-conference game next season.
In 2006, Tennessee reportedly paid Air Force $850,000 for a non-conference game.
(One key aspect of Shatel’s piece that wasn’t specified – what did Boise want $1 million for? A home-and-home? A 2-for-1? Just one game? That was unclear. In our opinion, there’s a huge difference. We would agree Boise was being greedy if it wanted $1 million for a home-and-home. We hope that’s not the case.)
So essentially, Boise is screwed. Teams won’t give Boise a home-and-home because the Broncos don’t lose on the blue turf, and the way the archaic BCS is rigged, one loss early in the season is so damaging that nobody wants to risk it (ask Oregon). You lose one game in the current system and you just hope the “computers” put you in the title game. You lose one game in the playoff system? You can settle things on the field in a 16-team playoff.
At the same time, big conference teams like Nebraska, who basically pay for automatic wins against cupcakes, won’t pay the going rate to Boise State. Keep in mind, of course, the game against Boise State will likely be televised nationally, at night, and garner enormous TV ratings. So then Boise cries “nobody will play us” and a couple clowns say, “you want a million bucks!” and Boise says, “well that’s what everyone else is getting, why shouldn’t we?” and the clowns come back with, “we’ll pay for easy victories” and then Boise will say, “fine, if we’re on your level, play us at our place, too” and then the endless circle begins again.
When we presented a couple of the games mentioned above to Shatel on twitter as proof the system is broken, he finally agreed that Boise wasn’t at fault (nor was Nebraska).

teams won’t give boise a home and home BECAUSE THEY’D LOSE AN ABSOLUTE FUCKTON OF MONEY.
why can’t you understand this?
September 10th, 2010 at 1:33 PM
Dang TBL came out swinging looking for the early kill. No Boise homer by any mean but the outrage over this is crazy, I’ll let Stewart Mandel take the stand
September 10th, 2010 at 1:33 PM
Bravo, TBL.
/Boise bashing is annoying and mostly garbage
September 10th, 2010 at 1:34 PM
That was the way I read it, and the way I’ve heard it leaked from other schools.
All of those “similar” games you listed for for a single home game, no return trip.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:35 PM
This is actually the complete opposite of how the BCS is rigged. Teams would much rather lose early in the season than late.
/woefully uninformed
September 10th, 2010 at 1:35 PM
boise could swallow their pride and take the money and travel. see how they do on the road away from their hokey blue turf…but i guess that’s beneath them seeing as they have such a rich and established football tradition.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:35 PM
Oh my fucking god. Boise refuses to do home and homes where each home team take 100% of the gate. Why? Because they play in a glorified HS stadium. Maybe they could invest that BCS $$ into building a big-boy stadium and then they can do home and homes. Until then, they can suck a dick.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:35 PM
so if boise wants the credibility so bad…why don’t they drop there fee to something way less than the $1mil?
September 10th, 2010 at 1:35 PM
rabble rabble college playoff
September 10th, 2010 at 1:35 PM
Highwater mark for Ole Miss = Archie Manning taking them to the Sugar Bowl. Nebraska’s a little higher up the ladder. Those two football programs have very little in common, so comparing them makes little sense.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:37 PM
The Oregon that got to go to the Rose Bowl despite being rung up for 50 later in the season by Stanford? I’m sure they’re very content with how things worked out.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:38 PM
The victory last weekend just keeps making me feel better. Four months of whining about the Broncos. Love it.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:38 PM
Boise needs VA Tech to go undefeated the rest of the way. Oregon State at Boise should be a good game. schedule is pathetic
September 10th, 2010 at 1:39 PM
you’re obviously a communist.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:40 PM
Boise isn’t a bad town as I recall.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:40 PM
Because in the NFL no one has a problem starting out the season with a loss or two.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:40 PM

September 10th, 2010 at 1:40 PM
Anytime, Anywhere. That’s how Miami built their program as an independent. Boise should do the same.

And the $1 million payday games for small teams go away. You even had Duffy admitting as much on here the other day. Way to look out for the small guy.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:41 PM
Wasn’t the reason the BCS was created because there was so much arguing who should play for the title when it was just a pole?
September 10th, 2010 at 1:42 PM
Still can’t believe pilots get paid that shitty…was that legit?
September 10th, 2010 at 1:42 PM
Georgia Tech did the same after leaving the SEC.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:42 PM
You know why Boise pisses me off? College football is supposed to have the most important, relevant regular season in all of sports right? It’s one of the reasons why we aren’t getting a playoff apparently. If you get into the National Championship you are supposed to have earned it through regular season conference play. Well, Boise’s conference is shit. So it irritates me that they are trying to game the system by playing one tough neutral site non-conference game. You want to be recognized with the rest of the big time schools? Then play some fucking big time schools and quit bitching because you get left in the cold because of your Div. III conference.
Oh, and it’s time for a real field.

comment 24 is prescient.
oh and fuck michigan.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:44 PM
This is more level headed than most of your Boise State material, so thanks for that.
Without knowing the answer to the terms, I’m going to say it comes down to options. Nebraska has them, Ole Miss doesn’t.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:45 PM
Anytime, Anywhere. That’s how Miami built their program as an independent. Boise should do the same.
they had the benefit of being in talent rich South Florida. has to be hard to recruit a kid to Idaho
September 10th, 2010 at 1:45 PM
Still can’t believe pilots get paid that shitty…was that legit?
I like my pilots without excess spending money available for women, booze and coke.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:45 PM
If we are going to have tons of Boise State posts, can we at least make a rule that you don’t use their cheerleaders for pics? Just spotlight an Oregon cheerleader each week or something.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:46 PM
@Barnaby Jones: I like your Uzi. Well done.

There’s nothing better than a documentray maker who distorts facts in order to push his personal agenda.
Who’s fatter, him or Whitlock?
September 10th, 2010 at 1:48 PM
I believe the answer we are looking for is that ole piss is a bunch of inbred pussies who lose to a 1AA team so instead of laying them to lose at home they can get smoked by Boise to make a home bludgeoning look “legitimate”
September 10th, 2010 at 1:48 PM
They said on the game Monday they had a lot of kids from Cali on the team so they be poaching. They already have the reputation and NFL former players, they just need a new attitude about their schedule and then a lot of this bickering would stop.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:48 PM
you tell em PurdueMatt. It’s all about the U
September 10th, 2010 at 1:48 PM
there’s also this…
September 10th, 2010 at 1:48 PM
that was borderline assault
September 10th, 2010 at 1:48 PM
This is a fucking joke, seriously, there is no need to even go beyond the fact these assholes play on BLUE FUCKING TURF! The difference with some of these teams having week non-conference schedules is that they actuall, you know, play in a legit conference. Boise State’s whole sched. except for 2 games is one big shitty non-conference-like schedule.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:49 PM
there’s also this…
best call in officiating history. that’s a crock of shit

September 10th, 2010 at 1:50 PM
Haven’t seen Moore in a long time, though I did hear him tell Diane Rehm he had discovered what vegetables were and lost a lot of weight. So, I’ll go with Whitlock.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:50 PM
I love boise st beucase it entertains me seeing the hardcore college fans get all worked up about them. However, everyone is going to argue about this for easily 4 more months and it’s starting to get a little tiresome after one week.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:50 PM
I’m coming to take over in left field for ya. You deserve a break. Good job kid.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:50 PM
Boise wants $$ because real schools do home and homes and take the full gate. Neb is doing this with Washington this year and the next. Boise tries to have it both ways. Pay is like we’re San Jose St., but give us the respect of a big boy.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:51 PM
On the road with two nationally ranked teams is how Bowden put Florida State at the forefront of the college football landscape. In 1981, “Bowden’s No. 20-ranked Seminoles defeated No. 7 Ohio State 36-27 in Columbus, his signature win in a “play anyone, anywhere” season that also included road trips to Nebraska, Notre Dame, Pitt and LSU. In 1980, No. 16 Florida State defeated No. 3 Nebraska 18-14, marking the highest ranked team the program had ever beaten at that time.”
I know it’s a different era, but sometimes you have to earn it.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:51 PM
boise advantages:
1. camouflaged by blue turf
2. gets to take all the D-1 players that don’t qualify for enrollment at BCS schools
3. gets to take all the D-1 players that are criminals and get kicked out of BCS schools
4. don’t play any BCS schools with equivalent talent
5. run trick plays
6. smell
7. fag
September 10th, 2010 at 1:51 PM
Ooooo. That’s Michael Moore’s thing? No, I avoid his stuff. Much too much personal opinion in a documentary wrapper.
From the investment guys that I know, Lewis’ stuff is really close to being on the money. It’s snarky and reads a bit fictional at times, but the details about the stuff he’s written (Greece, Iceland, Subprime, Wall Street, etc…) are rarely denied by anyone.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:51 PM
The way I understand it is that BSU would charge 1 mil for no return trip. According the The BSU AD for a home and home game they give whatever the other teams gives. So if it is 0 then they give 0 or if they give 500k then they will in turn give 500k. For Nebraska to say they won’t pay 1 mil then turn around and give it to a cupcake exactly proves the point that that BSU gets screwed.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:51 PM
Don’t know why you keep going back to that croc of shit about the referees award. And I don’t trust that picture, check the actualy video and it tells a different story. All that shit doesn’t matter anyway, it happend way the fuck ago and it’s over with.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:51 PM
OT. HAHAHA.
HeathBell21 I wanted to know where are the padre fans????????? Not at the park
September 10th, 2010 at 1:52 PM

September 10th, 2010 at 1:54 PM

September 10th, 2010 at 1:54 PM
Yep. I said the same thing in the last thread.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:54 PM
i keep harping on the referee award because it shows that THE CALL WAS FUCKING CORRECT and that yall are just bitching because you want everyone to be wrong because “it’s all about the U.”
if it was all about the U, your fanbase wouldn’t have shrank to the point where the university couldn’t sell out 10,000 tickets to a game against the no. 2 ranked team in the country.
/face
September 10th, 2010 at 1:54 PM
Look, it comes to simple economics. The “rule of thumb” is that the visiting team gets ~40% of the ticket revenue. So, when COl goes to OSU and gets 1.4 mil, that’s roughly equivalent to 102,000 tickets at an average ticket price of $40 (including student tickets, freebies, etc.). 102k x $40 x 40% is $1.42 mil.
Now, why in God’s name would anyone agree to go Boise and get 40% of a 35k capacity stadium?
This is the same argument as to why PSU and Pitt don’t play home-and-home. PSU has to give up WAY to much money to play at Pitt every other year.

Also Mantis we had to hear about your shitty football team for weeks during basketball season because your rapey, meth smoking QB is a deuche of epic proportions with a grey peen, so drink some of Jersey’s STFU juice….
September 10th, 2010 at 1:55 PM
That means you would have teams that are not even considered to be in the top 10 competing to be national champion. You would then be changing it from who is the best team to just who is the last man standing.
A tournament solves nothing because then people are going to complain about seeding and that this team should never of played that one. More complaining. College will never be a perfect system, just accept it.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:56 PM
This is getting out of control. That should be illegal. I couldn’t watch a game of that fucking field.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:56 PM
I wish to subscribe to Barnaby Jones’ newsletter. Comment 24 gets it.
BUT I must say it has been fun watching Boise State do well when it does have that one game a year – Oregon, Oklahoma, TCU, Va. Tech. Makes all the haters get inverted boners.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:56 PM
Alabama and Wisconsin to open up the season…now there’s an instance where the players involved probably deserve a cut of the payout since they’re getting their shit kicked in for profit
September 10th, 2010 at 1:57 PM
I can’t remember what radio show I heard it from, but they said over half of the home games are in jeopardy of being blacked out this weekend.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:57 PM
Iowa and Notre Dame agree.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:57 PM

September 10th, 2010 at 1:59 PM
down…to miami next year to go for back to back to back wins against the hurrilames? agreed.
September 10th, 2010 at 1:59 PM
The refs backing up one of their own making a shitty call on the biggest stage doesn’t show it was correct. We ran around this earlier this week. I don’t dispute Miami lost that game, just that shit ass call. I don’t want everyone to be wrong, but they are about this issue.
Don’t know how many times I can retread this explanation. I dno’t give a fuck about the size of our fanbase. I’d rather keep it smaller than your behemoth state schools and hundreds of thousands of mouth-breathing fans. I don’t blame people for not wanting to go to Ohio and furthermore I don’t care and it has no bearing on how the team plays on the field.
And, it in fact is all about the U.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:00 PM
except, you know, they could have scheduled a cupcake and gone to the title game.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:00 PM
Holy shit, Badgers by 38 on Saturday? Dunno about that, they only beat UNLV by 20 and that team was awful
September 10th, 2010 at 2:00 PM
The only reason I asked about the Michael Moore movie is because he mentions Goldman Sachs being one of the key members of the political group that created the bailout plan. I find it interesting that they’ve also had their part in Greece’s economic downfall. They didn’t create it but they helped make it worse. Kind of freaks me out.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:00 PM
I have to agree. It is downright shameful how Boise has, year after year, used their shitty schedule to game the system to the tune of ZERO championship appearances. I’m glad someone else has a problem with them abusing the laws and regulations year after year with this crap. Just think of the ZERO times they’ve screwed other teams over with this crap. I’m sure if bigger programs had the luxury of never going to a title game, they would do it. But alas, they are stuck playing in those tough conferences, and competing for championships. Life just aint fair.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:01 PM
I have never understood why it is OK to rank a quarter back based on a computer program, but not OK for a team.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:01 PM
Awesome post. + the 9 points that the ‘Canes won’t need since they are gonna win outright.

Go back to the 1900′s man, its a Kardashian kind of world now.

The only reason I asked about the Michael Moore movie is because he mentions Goldman Sachs being one of the key members of the political group that created the bailout plan.
I’m assuming you’ve read the Big Short since you are mentioning Lewis. That book and Tiabbi’s columns best stuff I’ve read on the financial crisis. Also, Tiabbi shits all over the Jets and Jets fans in his football preview, which is nice.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:05 PM
really? I seem to remember an undefeated Texas team and an other undefeated Bammer team taking up those spots.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:05 PM

so, bama beat boise’s lone crown jewel plus 6-7 more similarly good teams.
but yea, boise’s totally entitled to a NC berth. that makes complete sense.

It’s mostly based on the economy, so it’s not as bad as it seems. People may not be able to pay for season tickets anymore, but the product is still as popular as ever. It’s not like when baseball was going down the drain before they discovered the magic of steroids.

September 10th, 2010 at 2:07 PM
Weird he didn’t mention the ass-beating his undefeated regular season team took from Utah in the Sugar Bowl. That woulda made him look dumb though, I guess.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:07 PM
if that’s what Nebraska’s problem is – ‘we are in this to make money, and playing you doesn’t pay’ (no problem with that, it’s a business), then fine. say that. don’t say, “Boise won’t play us.”
September 10th, 2010 at 2:07 PM
right. because a 19-8 loss on September 3 correlates to a 52-41 loss on November 7.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:08 PM

September 10th, 2010 at 2:08 PM
I’m not a Moore fan but the Cuban medical system isn’t that bad. I’ve been there a bunch of times and had an opportunity to see the system in action on a couple of occasions and it measured up pretty well.

I’m not talking about anything he “claimed” in the movie. He pointed out that one of the guys who led the bailout plan meetings was the former head of Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs members also helped Greece fix their books so that they would meet the criteria required to use Euro as their currency.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:08 PM

Just figured out the trick with that picture. It WAS taken after the ball went through Gamble’s hands. It’s taken from the opposite side of the endzone where the play occured, the ref there was the sidejudge who was parralel with the play, check the video again it is the ref waiving the play incomplete.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:10 PM
Awful is an overstatement.
The third or fourth best team in the pac ten last year went to OSU with a true frosh at QB and won.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:10 PM
But in the picture he did. What is the difference between the picture and the video? It’s P.I. The call was correct. Winner Columbus.

No one ever dies in the hospital in the United States
September 10th, 2010 at 2:11 PM
You can’t honestly think a team would ever come out and publically say, “We’re looking to make the most money here.” Even the SJSU of the world don’t admit that they’re playing for a payday. They say it’s good for the kids, and it’s good exposure for the school.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:11 PM
No one ever dies in the hospital in the United States
Gotta have coverage to die on a bed.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:12 PM
if boise goes undefeated give them a spot in the championship game. if they dont belong they’ll get worked and everyone will stop talking about them. i’d just like to see them in it. not the same 5 teams over and over again.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:12 PM
Did anyone ever see that movie I think it was called Loose Change about the 9/11 attacks? They had all this info that they claimed proved that it was all a conspiracy or coverup and it was almost all proven to be taken out of context or just made up. I think Popular Mechanics are the ones that disproved them.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:12 PM
yea, because that’s just as poorly informed as TBL’s stance.
im not saying that boise is incapable of competing, but they’re not playing by the same rules the BCS teams are and they’re not contributing the same amount of money the BCS teams are. THAT’S where i get pissed.
boise wants the biggest piece of the pie without contributing anything to the party.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:12 PM
See comment 115. I don’t get why OSU fans get so hung up on this but fine, keep trumpeting your cause even though the crystal football resides in that city named for a genocidal criminal.
Enjoy the game, I’ll be here Monday to take my medicine.

that he said it or that its right?
Hell if I know. I seriously doubt he came out and said that directly (I saw Sicko when it came out but can’t recall). I think the part about Cuba was mostly people getting cheap as fuck perscription medicines.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:13 PM
This is what followed the Saban quote.
First of all, who were these six presumably SEC teams in 2009 — in addition to Florida and Texas — that Saban’s team hurdled en route to the national title and were equal to or better than the Hokies? LSU? Georgia? Ole Miss or Arkansas? Tennessee under Kiffin? Please with your six-plus, Coach Woodcock.
Certainly I have a very, very high opinion of the SEC, too high based on some of the comments in many of my posts; Saban’s, however, is the reason a good chunk of college football despises the conference.
Secondly, and to address Saban’s quasi-quality final thought, you simply don’t know what would happen if Boise State were to be dropped into the middle of the SEC. Or the Big Ten. Or the Pac-10 (The Big East is another story, though; that’s a league title and automatic BcS berth right there). Certainly there can be conjecture, but the “put them in the (conference name) and they wouldn’t even finish .500″ take is one of the most patently asinine arguments in the sports world today. Such a concrete statement on a what-if argument is a stance of the feeble-minded, too weak to wrap their heads around anything but the most simplistic of concepts and too self-centered to realize that football is played at a very high level outside the South/Midwest/Texas.
Of course, there is a one way that this argument could be solved, at least in part.
A playoff.
Oops, never mind. The weak of mind can’t wrap their heads around that simple concept, either.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:14 PM
OSU handed them that game.
when OSU got their shit together, they depantsed the best team in the pac-10. that’s all that matters in hindsight.

September 10th, 2010 at 2:16 PM
It’s written very well. Good analogies and succinct to the point writing, but I’d be lying if there weren’t some very tricky concepts he tries to explain that take awhile to wrap your head around. Not very many of them though. That book made me extremely angry.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:16 PM
To the extent that Boise complains about their position, I agree, that’s annoying if and when they do it.
But it’s the BCS’ and NCAA’s fault, and the school administrations who support the system. They set it up. They have no leg to stand on, and neither do any fans who support the BCS.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:16 PM
Can’t argue with that massive sample size. I stand corrected.
I love it down there. Went down to Santiago right after the Jays signed Adeiny Hechavarria and brought a bunch of Jays gear for the resort workers. I got the super VIP treatment after that. I think they may have erected a statue in my honour.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:16 PM
This system that Boise is abusing so unfairly with their weak schedule….this is the system that has prevented three undefeated Boise teams from playing for a title due entirely to their weak schedule, right?

Gotcha SG… Goldman has tentacles everywhere and it is a bit alarming. I’m waiting for someone to pen the book specifically on Goldman and all of the different things that they played huge roles in.
When the rules were changed in the 90′s the gaming started hardcore on Wall Street and still hasn’t stopped. The regulations need to come back hardcore, but there are too many hands in the cookie jar right now that are all working really hard to prevent it.
People are too busy worrying about the short term profit to worry about the long term future. It is absolutely killing our country and others. And, its jeopardizing our long term way of life.
Look at this post for proof of that. This whole college football stuff is all about the short term, instead of worrying about what’s good for the sport long term.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:17 PM
michael moore is an idiot and a hypocrite.

I will pick it up as soon as I finish this fantasy fiction book that’s taking me forever to read because there are so many characters I can’t keep anyone straight.

I think a playoff would fix the underlying problem you’re hinting at.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:17 PM

September 10th, 2010 at 2:18 PM
A win over then-ranked #14 Boise St. wouldve changed their whole season outlook. Maybe after they win that they beat the shit out of #6 Cal a few weeks later.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:18 PM
1. camouflaged by blue turf
2. gets to take all the D-1 players that don’t qualify for enrollment at BCS schools
3. gets to take all the D-1 players that are criminals and get kicked out of BCS schools
4. don’t play any BCS schools with equivalent talent
5. run trick plays
6. smell
7. fag
so 1 and 5 are the only differences between them and say, some other big name programs.
September 10th, 2010 at 2:18 PM
i agree…which is why i’ve long said that the BCS should exclude these schools right off the bat.

September 10th, 2010 at 2:25 PM
Wisky is notorious for playing poorly against poor teams in the early season. They definitely won’t lose to SJS, but covering 37.5 is a heavy burden for Bucky the Badger. San Jose St completely sucks though.
I wouldn’t touch that game with a ten foot pole…

I’m not here for a political debate, just sharing some experiences.
Cuba has provided me with great prices on vacations and the citizens I’ve met there are top notch. The service/hospitality at their resorts blows away anything I’ve encountered in Canada, the U.S. or Mexico. I’ll be going again soon.

The US has the greatest standard deviation, by far. Higher highs and lower lows average out to the middle.
There is a reason that the greatest number of foreign born students (in both percentages and absolutes) come here, and stay here, to study medicine.
