Michelle Beadle Visits David Letterman [Video]
Michelle Beadle, ESPN’s rising star, stopped by the David Letterman show last night. She seemed pretty nervous until Letterman got in a dig at Colin Cowherd – “what’s his deal?” – at which point she finally loosened up. We’ll leave all the commentary about the sartorial selection and her legs to you. We’ll update this with videos as they appear on the web (there’s one after the jump). Right now, there’s nothing. Guess everyone was up late watching Andy Roddick soil himself against Janko Tipsarevic in the 2nd round.

is there going to be a Hard Knocks post today? Because having your coach yell at a team for 5 minutes about not having any leaders, and then leaving and nobody else saying a damned thing doesn’t bode very well for your team’s leadership.
Also, I’m not sure that QB is very good. And the Jets looked real cheap, cutting Coles.

I hope she doesn’t become really popular mainstream wise like Erin Andrews
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:10 AM
Nice volume on the clip. I heard the interview better from my shitter last night.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:10 AM
OK, second clip better.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:12 AM
no
agreed. i said something similar to this when they let Jones and the OL go in the offseason. Those guys were leaders. There’s no chemistry. it’s why, without Revis, i have the Jets going 7-9. but we’ll save the picks for next week.

Nice stems!

the cost cutting moves, especially Faneca, are getting highlighted so badly. I don’t know if Ryan/Callahan/that idiot GM all really hate both Left Guards, but HBO sure did enjoy making both of them look horrendous last night.

not enough roundup.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:34 AM
I could tear up some fried chicken right now. damn you gaseous.

I found the whole Kellen Clemens negotiating interesting as it appeared the GM negotiated directly with the player and not the agent. I always just assumed all that went directly through the agent.

Come see me when you have keyhole video.

It looks like when she came out she was just trying not to fall and bust her ass. Makes her even more likable IMO.

Today is a great, great day. Looking forward to the unveiling of TBLs new CFB writer. Surely today is the day, what with games starting and all.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:44 AM
Duffy?
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:45 AM
LDT is really not much of a locker room presence, eh? He’s still going to Canton, but man, talk about a guy who leaves you wanting…
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:45 AM
I’m looking forward the 3 Michigan posts and 5 Big Ten posts myself.

how does it feel to be a traitor?
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:48 AM
Irish you putting the winner up in some half-court seats for a Magic game?
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:48 AM
felt bad for the guy. he had no choice. had to take a paycut. where was he going to go in the middle of the preseason? if he has a family, kids … tough to uproot them for … anywhere else at the drop of a hat for a CHANCE with another team.
imagine if he left the Jets, and didn’t get on with another team?

you know what’s really shitty about that? They tendered him a restricted free agent contract, and he just signed it this offseason, for not even that much. And they put the screws to him for around 400 thousand dollars. I’m no fan of Clemens, but I think 1 year contracts ought to be automatically guaranteed.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:49 AM
LDT is really not much of a locker room presence, eh?
don’t let all their talk fool you. He’s not much of a ballplayer anymore, either.

Des:
What really happened with Herbie and the Les Miles to Michigan announcement?
What are your thoughts about Michigan football in 2010 and the next few years. What needs to happen to stop the embarrassment in Ann Arbor?

What in the blue hell compelled you to pick Miami to win the nat. championship?
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:51 AM
I just assumed if FSV wants to bring in NFL writers, they’d do the same for CFB. Is Duffy the CFB guy from now on?
Re: Howard Intv
-Have to ask his thoughts on Mich’s new conference allignment and what it means for their recovery (I think they could be in trouble).
-Are you going to discuss Corso and his stroke? Kind of a touchy subject, but that seems to be the elephant in the room when Gameday begins.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:51 AM
Des – what do you think about this? or this?
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:51 AM
mike tannenbaum is the biggest fucking pussy i’ve ever seen on camera (that isn’t during a porn).
when he cut o’connell, he couldn’t even look him in the eye to say he was cut…waited until o’connell’s back was turned. fuck tannenbaum. fucking asshole.

He’s so shitty at that, it makes Mike Brown look like a good GM for delegating that shit to some rotund guy. With the cutting of Coles and the squeezing of Clemens, the Jets are tripping over dollar bills to pick up dimes. They saved 2 million by cutting Faneca who wasn’t out of work for a day and a half, and now their line isn’t nearly as good, and certainly is considerably worse at pass blocking (or that’s how it’s being portrayed).
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:55 AM
interesting that you ask…cause it’s you.
/just joined
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:56 AM
If it’s free to join and it’s for bragging rights, I’ll play.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:56 AM
yea…i dunno if it was NFL films editing or whatever, but ducasse looked like hot shit.
im still kinda sad about that giant polynesian dude who tore his achilles last week. im surprised tannenbaum didn’t cut him on the trainer’s table via text.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:57 AM
Joined as well… Jesus, after picking the first week games, there are some really bad NFL teams.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:58 AM
I don’t normally play games, but people don’t normally ask me nicely. So I signed up too. I’m playing for 3rd.

Question for Desmond:
With the Masoli incident in the books now and his eligibility delayed, do you think that the NCAA is moving closer to having a ‘personal conduct policy’ like the NFL has so there can be more room for interpretation either a conference or team when it comes to discipline? Obviously Masoli’s past played more into the decision than the actual waiver he misused.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:59 AM
im still kinda sad about that giant polynesian dude who tore his achilles last week.
Sad because of how many times a quality left tackle would have gotten underneath that guy’s pads and pancaked him?
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:00 AM
That question has too many long words for Desmond to understand…
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:00 AM
no, sad because whomever he got his roids from didn’t give him the shit that gets rid of backne.
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:02 AM
but im in love (hetero love) with THE TERMINATOR. dude’s awesome.

that one Slausson whiff block where they were talking about Sanchez getting Tom Brady’d was not something I would have wanted on air if I were the Jets. Because I can’t imagine Ducasse is going to start. His cranium is deformed, and I think he’s missing some of his brain tissue.
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:04 AM
lol.
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:05 AM
thanks guys for signing up
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:06 AM
I signed up but had to change my info there, didn’t want to get humanized.
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:09 AM
Thanks for setting it up. Pick’em leagues are always fun.
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:15 AM
The amount of hand wringing that goes on about Hard Knocks has always bothered me, and the host of the morning show on Mad Dog Radio today summed it up perfectly. It’s an edited TV show. How much faith can you put in what you see when it’s in the vested interest of the producers to make it as “compelling” as possible? These guys are being filmed 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. Everything can be great for 111.75 hours, but they’re going to focus on that 15 minutes of tension and make it into an entire episode.
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:29 AM
any room left, Irish?
September 2nd, 2010 at 6:41 PM
I’m shocked not to see a “no chicken legs” comment about Beadle.
Did TBL delete the earlier ones?
