Albert Pujols, Tony LaRussa To Appear at Glenn Beck’s Rally in DC This Weekend
Glenn Beck & the Cardinals: If you didn’t see Jon Stewart eviscerate Glenn Beck’s Washington DC rally (“I have a scheme”) last night on the Daily Show, kindly watch it here. In something of a shocker, St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa and his best player, Albert Pujols, will be attending Beck’s rally. Beck, the insufferable gold-shilling buffoon, has touted the rally as “apolitical” which is the only reason LaRussa says he and Pujols will attend. “I made it clear when we were approached: I said, ‘If it’s political, I wouldn’t even approach Albert with it.’ I don’t want to be there if it’s political … the gist of the day is not political. I think it’s a really good concept, actually.” Clearly, LaRussa learned his lesson after his July illegal immigration flap - if you’re going to dip a toe into the political realm, choose your words very carefully.
