Tim Floyd is Off to a Rocky Start at UTEP
Tim Floyd, whose career highlights outside of coaching include breaking up this fight at a casino, could be fielding a call from the NCAA shortly. The new UTEP coach kicked Myron Strong off the team for an alleged drug violation, and Strong is striking back with allegations of his own against his former coach: “I’m hearing that he had a fake charity event to pay former player OJ Mayo $100,000 to play for him. How did the ncaa let that slide?” Mayo, you may recall, is the primary reason Floyd resigned at USC. [KVIA]
