Nolan Ryan: Baseball’s career strikeout leader outlasted Mark Cuban last night in his quest to buy the Texas Rangers. “Cuban and Crane dropped out of the bidding officially just before 1 a.m. after Greenberg’s group bid $593 million, which includes $208 million in assumed liabilites. Cuban and Crane’s top bid was $581.2 million,” according to the Dallas Morning News. What this means is that Robin Ventura will be humiliated all day because Sportscenter will be showing Nolan Ryan-Ventura fight on a loop. Also, Mark Cuban’s being blamed for driving up the bidding, which ultimately could impact the Rangers’ spending.
