Only something like this could possibly make us care about the Tour de France. In the video, Spaniard Carlos Barredo attacks Portuguese rider Rui Alberto Costa with his bike wheel. Details after the jump.

Reports later were that Barredo’s anger stemmed from his claim that Costa had elbowed him in the stomach and ribs with 20km to go in the stage. Both riders were later fined a total of 400 Swiss francs ($430) each after being found guilt for ”threat and menace” in the race and ”poor behaviour” after the stage.

I really don’t know what to add except that the best American athletes don’t ride bikes. This is a fact.
