Three increasingly bad letters the NFL would rather not hear: CTE. Researches found that “Chris Henry, the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver who died in a traffic accident last year, had chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) – a form of degenerative brain damage caused by multiple hits to the head.” Henry only played 55 games in the NFL over five years. The next question researches will try to determine: Did Henry’s “neural damage [contribute] to his emotional volatility, including whatever problems he was suffering the day he died.” For additional CTE reads, we recommend going here and here.
