Would Anyone Have Written This About Deion Sanders?
Darrelle Revis: Here’s a snippet of the most ill-informed NFL piece we’ve seen this year. Going off the stat “yards per attempt,” KC Joyner tries to make the argument that the Jets’ Revis is not irreplaceable. His logic mostly centers around the fact that Dwight Lowery (Colts fans call him toast) was 2nd in that stat, and Lito Sheppard was in the Top 20. “In the worst-case scenario of a long-term Revis holdout, New York could place Lowery on the field opposite Cromartie and start 1st-round draft pick Kyle Wilson at the nickel cornerback position. That would still give the Jets one of the best secondaries in the league despite the absence of Revis Island.” That’s simply false. [ESPN Insider]
