Notre Dame Coaching Search: Not surprisingly, it appears as if Cincinnati’s Brian Kelly is going to be the next Notre Dame coach. He was always the safe bet. Guess this time around Kirk Herbstreit will be right – Stoops and Meyer and Dungy were pipe dreams. Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick has handled the search very well: “His ability to maintain such a low profile during such a high-profile search is Ninja-like. If Tiger Woods wants his privacy back he should start hanging out with Jack Swarbrick.” The search has been so cloak-and-dagger, that it wouldn’t totally surprise us if Kelly turned the job down and Swarbrick surprised everyone with an off-the-radar-name.
