The List of NFL Athletes and Playboy Playmates Welcomes Hank Baskett and Kendra
If the report from E! is true, and sports-loving Playmate Kendra Wilkinson is engaged to Philadelphia Eagles WR Hank Baskett, then the lanky, unknown kid who starred at New Mexico has joined an elite group of NFL players who have dated, gotten engaged to, or married Playboy Playmates. (If we’ve missed any, and you’ve got links, send ‘em over.) All the links are safe for work. Strange: Three of these women are from Ohio.
Jeff Garcia and Carmella DeCesare: Enter your Garcia jokes here. DeCesare (Playmate of the Year, 2004) is no laughing matter, just insanely sexy.
Glenn Cadrez and Brande Roderick: Former Jets linebacker nabbed the 2001 Playmate of the Year while she was reading for a role in a horror movie his production company was producing.
Adam Archuleta and Jennifer Walcott: First round draft pick from Arizona State now has a kid with, in our biased opinion, the hottest/coolest Playmate of all-time. She was in the Mag in 2001, and can pilot a plane!
Tim Couch and Heather Kozar: One of the best players in Kentucky prep football history got lucky with the 1999 Playmate of the Year. Couch’s NFL career fizzled with Cleveland, but does it really matter when you’re married to this?
John Elway and Carrie Stevens: Two-time Super Bowl winner and a Playmate from 1994 dated after his divorce, but we know that didn’t last, because he’s engaged to a Raiders cheerleader.
* We didn’t include Giants kicker Owen Pochman on this list, even though he dated Roderick. But for a California girl to date a Giants kicker and then marry a former Jets linebacker, well, that’s neat.
** Also left off the list: UCLA’s Cade McNown, who was a bust in the NFL, but did briefly steal Kozar from Couch, and also was banned (supposedly) from the Mansion for life after taking Roderick on a trip while she was dating Hugh Hefner.
