Charlie Weis Finally Chimes in on Dana Jacobson
Happened while we were gone, but we’re going to leap at any opportunity to post this photo. Buried in a Chicago Sun-Times notebook Saturday: ”I was personally and professionally offended by her comments,” Weis said. ”If the situation were reversed, I would have been the lead story on ‘SportsCenter,’ and I would have been fired. Other than that, the university has issued an official response, and I’ll leave it at that.”
Assuming she only said ‘F Notre Dame’ and ‘F Touchdown Jesus’ … Weis does realize he was attending a roast, right? And situation reversed? We can’t recall a time that a professional or college coach cracked jokes at a roast, so there’d be no reason for Baby Tuna to be blitzed and cursing with the cameras rolling. Anyone know when the next ESPN roast is? We will certainly pay for a ticket or contribute to the necessary foundation/charitable cause for a seat – so we can live-blog it!
